Meeting was held between SS Rover and SM-WEZ Melaka

13 November 2024 – A productive meeting was held between SS Rover and SM-WEZ Melaka, chaired by Datuk Shamsul Ambia, CEO of SM-WEZ, and attended by Datuk Ginie, CEO of Invest Melaka. The session focused on exploring opportunities for collaboration and expanding SS Rover’s operations in Melaka.

SS Rover, a leading company specializing in digitalization and automation solutions for infrastructure and facility maintenance, marine and telecommunication cable work, as well as subsea oil and gas asset maintenance, is leveraging advanced technologies such as IoT, AI, and robotics to transform operations across these industries.

The company is now considering Melaka as a potential location for establishing a eudcation center to further enhance its technological capabilities. In response, SM-WEZ and Invest Melaka are working closely with SS Rover to provide the necessary support, including assistance in identifying suitable infrastructure, navigating regulatory processes.

This collaboration underscores the ongoing efforts of both SM-WEZ and Invest Melaka to foster innovation and attract high-tech industries to the state, supporting Melaka’s growth as a hub for advanced technology and research.
