Telah berlangsungnya Majlis Pecah Tanah syarikat FE Green Pet (M) Sdn Bhd di Kawasan Perindustrian Hicom Pegoh, Alor Gajah dengan nilai pelaburan berjumlah RM 958 juta.
FE Green Pet (M) Sdn Bhd merupakan anak syarikat kepada Kumpulan Far Eastern (FEG) berpangkalan di Taiwan, membangunkan kilang tersebut di kawasan seluas 14.56 hektar itu juga bakal mewujudkan sehingga 500 peluang pekerjaan baharu.
Upacara Pecah Tanah FE Green Pet (M) Sdn Bhd telah dirasmikan oleh YAB Datuk Seri Utama Ab Rauf Bin Yusoh, Ketua Menteri Melaka.
Hadir sama, YB Datuk Fairul Nizam Bin Roslan, EXCO Sains, Teknologi, Inovasi dan Komunikasi Negeri; YB Tuan VP Shanmugam, EXCO Pembangunan Belia, Sukan dan Badan Bukan Kerajaan (NGO) Negeri; Encik Donald Fan, Pengerusi FE Green PET (M) Sdn Bhd; dan Puan Eva Luo, Naib Presiden Kanan FE Green PET (M) Sdn Bhd.
Turut hadir, YBrs. Datuk Mohd Yusof Bin Abu Bakar, Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif MCORP, Encik Jaibalan Harirajan, Pengarah MIDA Negeri Melaka, Datuk Ginie Lim Siew Lin, Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Invest Melaka Berhad serta wakil-wakil jabatan.
YAB Datuk Seri Utama Ab Rauf menyifatkan pembinaan kilang kitar semula berteknologi tinggi itu selari dengan aspirasi Kerajaan Melaka untuk mengurangkan sisa plastik, di mana pembinaan kilang itu diyakini bakal meletakkan Melaka sebagai destinasi utama untuk pelaburan hijau serta memacu pertumbuhan ekonomi.
The groundbreaking ceremony of FE Green Pet (M) Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of the Far Eastern Group (FEG) based in Taiwan, took place in the Hicom Pegoh Industrial Area, Alor Gajah, with an investment value of RM 958 million. The development of the factory on a 14.56-hectare site is expected to create up to 500 new job opportunities.
The groundbreaking ceremony was officiated by YAB Datuk Seri Utama Ab Rauf Bin Yusoh, Chief Minister of Melaka. Also present were YB Datuk Fairul Nizam Bin Roslan, State Executive Councillor for Science, Technology, Innovation, and Communication; YB Tuan VP Shanmugam, State Executive Councillor for Youth Development, Sports, and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs); Mr. Donald Fan, Chairman of FE Green PET (M) Sdn Bhd; and Ms. Eva Luo, Senior Vice President of FE Green PET (M) Sdn Bhd.
Also in attendance were Datuk Mohd Yusof Bin Abu Bakar, CEO of MCORP; Mr. Jaibalan Harirajan, Director of MIDA Melaka; Datuk Ginie Lim Siew Lin, CEO of Invest Melaka Berhad, as well as representatives from various departments.
YAB Datuk Seri Utama Ab Rauf described the construction of the high-tech recycling plant as aligned with the aspirations of the Melaka government to reduce plastic waste, positioning Melaka as a prime destination for green investment and driving economic growth.
